Baking Soda, Tried and True: What is baking soda? Baking soda is a simple compound (sodium bicarbonate), made from Sodium Carbonate (a natural mineral salt), water, and carbon dioxide. It is low in abrasion, yet cleans away plaque and stains surprisingly well. Its high pH helps neutralize plaque acids which may cause mouth odors. How do we keep it simple, convenient, and delicious? We combine the convenience of toothpaste, the simplicity of baking soda, and the goodness of natural ingredients.
